Times Free Press Prisoner Reentry Series
"It is past time for the community to take action."
Tim Dempsey

According to Department of Corrections records, more than 500 prisoners return to our community every year.  About 335 of them will reoffend within three years if steps aren’t taken to help them re-adjust to society and break their bad habits.

Through a series of articles and multimedia productions, the Chattanooga Times Free Press takes a close look at what our community is doing to address this public safety concern.

Several people featured in this series received services at CEi during their transition to the civil society -- including Ronnie Rogers who reflects on his personal circumstances in “Life After Release." His story is as amazing as his transformation!  For an additional article on Ronnie, see our newsletter, Life After 43 Years.
