To improve public safety by restoring former offenders to productive roles in society through training, counseling and education programs that remove the barriers to meaningful employment and that teach skills for today's workforce.
Friends and Family Campaigns
As Board members, we are entrusted with CEi's mission and with the necessary work of attracting resources to fund it.
- John Disterdick
Board members use their personal relationships to connect the organization to the resources needed to achieve it’s mission and create value for former offenders, their families and the community. They do this by setting up speaking engagements, helping to create sponsorships for Bella Sera, introducing us to prospective members for our Brennan Society, helping us to find employment opportunities for our participants, and putting us in touch with churches for our Stephen’s Table.
From time to time, Board members are also called on to help promote specific campaigns. Typically, these campaigns follow the same steps of making a few calls and sending a few emails. Instructions and support material (including prepared text for emails) are available for active and recurring campaigns on the following pages...none take more than about 30 minutes.
If you use social media, we strongly recommend that you also share the solicitation material (which generally takes the form of an invitation letter) on Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, etc. Just hover over the
icon on any page and select your social media.
