Host Duties
Circle of Friends events are intended to be host-centered, making maximum use of the personal style and preferences of the person having it. As such the design and execution of each event should take on the personal style of its host – including the location, day, time, invitation, menu etc. The host is responsible for:
Selecting date with a preference for Tuesday or Thursday evenings
Selecting site (personal residence is preferable but not necessary)
Creating the guest list (50-75 invitations)
Sending out personalized invitations.
Selecting the menu
Selecting the bar
Selecting any entertainment
Receiving RSVPs
Reviewing program with Marketing Director
Guests Selection
Perhaps the most important responsibility of the host is to develop the guest lists. In doing so, the host/s should considering inviting members of their personal circle that:

Have influence over the hiring decisions in the marketplace
Have served as a Board member of charitable organizations
Have been involved as event hosts, coordinators
Have the ability to influence company decisions on event sponsorships
Have served on the Board of a local foundation
May host a Circle of Friends event.
